Housing Disrepair
​​​​​This is overseen by Mark Pearce, who is a Chartered Surveyor, an experienced Party Wall Surveyor, a trained Mediator, and qualified Expert Witness.
Housing Disrepair falls within the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, and relates to conditions of the house or flat. We can provide an initial appraisal for Landlords or Tenants; however often we are instructed as the Expert as part of litigation when a Claim is being made by a Tenant for a breach under Section 9A/10 or Section 11 or the Tenancy Agreement for the Disrepair or Hazards alleged to be present. We are conversant with the 'Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Condition Cases (England)', and unfitness for human habitation.
