I’m applying to HM Land Registry to Register some land that I own, can you provide the plans needed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we can.

We will obtain the latest Ordnance Survey Mapping data and prepare the necessary plans for you.  The plans we provide would be suitable for a First Registration, Transfer of part of an existing Title to another, or subdividing an existing Title into smaller plots.

Do the Plans you provide for Land Registry Applications meet the requirements of HMLR?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, yes.  We will prepare the required plans following the requirements of HMLR Practice Guide 40 [HMLR PG40].

Whilst we follow as closely as possible the conventions of HMLR PG40 [presentation/scales/paper sizes/colouring], sometimes Legal Advisers may request variations to assist with clarity or to suit their alternative approach - if that arises we can adapt the plans to suit their stipulations.

Can your prepare the forms and give us advice about submitting Applications to HM Land Registry?

Accepted Answer

We always suggest that in addition to us producing the relevant Plans for you, that you should take advice from a reputable legal adviser of registered conveyancer who is experienced in the process.We cannot complete or sign the forms for you, or give you advice on how to do this yourself. do that for you. HM Land Registry require the relevant forms to be signed by a solicitor or licensed conveyancer; or by the Applicant themselves.
If you have not instructed a solicitor or licensed conveyancer we can still provide the Plans for you, but we cannot give any advice about you completing the forms.
