For buyers, our motivation is to provide very detailed and informative reports.  We are not the same as some other Surveying firms who are in the 'mass-market' of churning-out reports for lenders.  The pricing is tailored to the type of house.
For defect reports, we will normally provide a two-stage approach, initial appraisals that will be low-cost with capped involvement to assess the situation, followed by further detailed investigations and repair guidance where needed.
