Born out of Covid-19 lockdowns,
'Perigee Surveyors
Community' was set-up in 2022 by Mark Pearce as a place for local Surveyors to reconnect and to share, a place of non-competitive mutual support and respect between Surveyors.

Perigee Surveyors set up by Mark Pearce MPTS MRICS

STARTED IN 2022!

If you’ve not been before to the "Local Surveyors' Breakfast Coffee", then you might be wondering what this is about: it is a simple, friendly, gathering of local surveyors who are self-employed or in a very small practice or maybe the only surveyor in a firm.  We offer each other support, ears, ideas, news, tips or just chat.

In 2023 I introduced the name 'Perigee Surveyors Community', I hope it sticks.

Please feel free to join us at one of the Coffee Gatherings - there are links above.

If you can please confirm attendances ASAP so I can gauge numbers and let the venues know if we need more space.

IS IT FOR YOU?

If you are a local independent Surveyor or small practice Surveyor, then yes!

It started as a small group to start with, for those who practice in the HP postcode areas (roughly in/around HP15) but it is growing.

Perhaps you are a recent start-up, a well established practitioner, or maybe nearing retirement... but we all need peers to chat too, a chance to share or air ideas, a place to seek assistance.  The more we support each other the better we provide for local clients and the stronger our local Surveying reputations grow.

These are informal meet-ups with no catch, no long term commitments, no 'club' membership.... just the petty-cash cost of a coffee/tea/OJ  (or whatever your wake-up preference might be).

Your Business ‘USP' is safe - only share what you want.

WHY 'PERIGEE'? > 'Perigee' is the Moon's closest point to Earth whilst it travels around its elliptical orbit.  I think this reflects well the relationship of local Surveyors, how we are closely connected as professionals, can influence each other and our community, but we are still independent and self-managed.

WHAT MIGHT WE DO IN THE FUTURE? + A place simply to connect with other Surveyors + A place for CPD + A place for Surveyor 'buddy' arrangements + A place to peer review (or interpret) RICS Guidance & Practice Notes + A place to off-load excess workload or take-on more work + A place to support APC candidates + A place to connect with other related professionals + A place to discuss local issues and relevant matters
