What are Party Wall Surveying Services’?

The Party Wall etc Act 1996 covers 3 main areas

[Section 1] new walls at/on the ‘Line of Junction’;

[Sections 2/3/4/5] work to ‘actual’ Party Walls; and

[Section 6] excavations within 3-metres (or 6-metres) of structures.

At PBSC we can prepare the correct Notices needed to be sent to Adjoining Owners; receive & deal with Notices served by others; and prepare ‘Awards’ as an appointed Party Wall Surveyor.


Since the Act came into force (1997) Mark Pearce has been acting as a Party Wall Surveyor; this experience was brought into PBSC when it was set-up in 2003.  Mark Pearce is a member of the P&T Club which is a national body of Party Wall Surveyors who set & maintain ethical standards for behaviour and good practice.
